I am a construction worker and I attended a CPHT course with ZEPHIR. I believe that the opportunity to interact with the various professionals in the building sector (from designers to site workers) is an enormous professional asset and a reason to seek new opportunities for improvement by being able to engage with all other operators. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and proved to be more than available in addressing very complex topics, resolving doubts and always demonstrating an open and non-presumptuous attitude toward discussion, unlike what unfortunately often happens in this kind of course.

Partly out of curiosity and partly out of a thirst for knowledge, I undertook the Passivhaus Designer path with ZEPHIR, coming out of it deeply enriched both in terms of professional knowledge and interpersonal relationships. The course was demanding but rewarding, with an exam that brought back memories of my university days.

I found well-prepared instructors with a strong practical mindset, built on real-world experience that can never be conveyed by the many manuals and treatises that proliferate by riding topics of temporary interest. Borrowing a statement from Einstein, I can confidently agree that: “Learning is an experience; everything else is just information.”

I attended the CPHD course organized by ZEPHIR last spring. I found Dr. Francesco Nesi and his team professional in communication and very available for clarifications and further insights. In particular, the classroom exercises made it easier to understand the subject and to achieve a good level of knowledge of the various topics in a short time.

I had the opportunity to attend the CPHD course organized by ZEPHIR in Milan, and I must say that I was very pleased with the speakers, who are highly knowledgeable on a technical level and enthusiastic in sharing their experience and knowledge.

Thanks to the course, I was able to pass the dreaded Passivhaus Institut exam, so I can recommend ZEPHIR courses without any doubt!

I had a “general idea” of Passivhaus concepts and enrolled in the course organized by ZEPHIR. In addition to the interesting content and almost meticulous in-depth insights, I appreciated the passion of the instructors in explaining both the technical aspects and the overall passive design approach. It was not “just” a course about concepts, but the beginning of a journey toward energy efficiency; with the awareness that this is the right direction to reverse the course of our planet’s destruction and to offer clients true living comfort.

As a HVAC designer, already accustomed to energy and power calculations, to a critical reading of technical standards, and to the design of systems for both residential and non-residential buildings, I was able to deepen my understanding of energy-related, construction (airtightness), and plant engineering aspects (the crucial role of mechanical ventilation), as well as the connection between them.

The topics were addressed in a precise and in-depth manner. The instructors also “went beyond” the official CPHD course, introducing various additional aspects (including FEM calculation for windows and doors). The teaching materials and logistical support were good. The friendliness of the ZEPHIR staff was excellent. The only drawback of the course… is that there is no continuation… an advanced CPHD course on the design of residential and non-residential buildings.

The course I attended in Milan with ZEPHIR on Passivhaus was stimulating and interesting from a professional point of view. The instructors were very knowledgeable and motivated, and they were able to effectively convey their expertise to the participants. Personally, I would recommend the same experience to other colleagues.

I have always considered the Passivhaus standard to be among the best protocols that simultaneously address energy efficiency, effectiveness, durability, living comfort, and indoor air quality.

I attended lessons focused on energy efficiency with Dr. Francesco Nesi and his team and found them excellent in their expertise and courtesy.

I attended the CPHD course held by ZEPHIR between December 2012 and March 2013, after having already taken a considerable number of courses related to energy efficiency. I was impressed by the quality of the lessons. All the instructors demonstrated great expertise in the subjects covered and, equally important, maximum willingness to meet each participant’s learning needs.

Proof of this is the fact that at the end of each lesson, the instructors were always available to stay as long as necessary to resolve all doubts and questions raised. The relationship between teachers and participants, always very informal and open to dialogue, also contributed positively to clarifying doubts and encouraging new questions whenever something was not yet clear to everyone.

It was a very useful course not only regarding passive houses, but also—and perhaps above all—for the many concepts I learned about energy, systems, and layout aspects, which are of great interest for any type of building aiming for energy efficiency.

The Passivhaus Handbook addresses highly topical issues that could mark a turning point in traditional construction methods

A thirst for culture should guide our lives, and our hunger for new possibilities should be satisfied. In Francesco Nesi’s *Passivhaus*, I find excellent ‘food for thought’ to help us face the future, realising that the Passivhaus standard is now the trump card of sustainable construction.

The book PASSIVHAUS is an extremely useful and important handbook that is a must-have for any designer’s library.

A wonderful book; I would recommend it to all designers and professionals in the sector.

This is the first book in Italy to focus on PASSIVHAUS. It clearly and expertly examines case studies and practical examples, offering in-depth technical and design analysis; it is a book aimed at everyone, from professionals to enthusiasts.

Anyone who finally wants to ‘change tack’ and design and build in an informed manner, with real and guaranteed results, has no choice but to follow this path. However, before setting out, they are almost ‘obliged’ to read this clear, simple and highly professional manual.
