Description
At long last, the gap that has persisted for several years in Italy regarding the Passivhaus standard has been bridged: apart from attending specialist training courses, designers have had no other technical tools at their disposal to tackle this type of design, tending to view Passivhaus as a mere stylistic exercise or yet another certification protocol.
Passive house or Passivhaus? Passivhaus or EnerPHit? Residential or non-residential? New build or renovation?
These are just some of the questions we seek to answer, starting from a technical and historical-regulatory perspective to explore the intricacies of the building physics behind the Passivhaus standard.
The message that emerges from this publication is that of a universal and international protocol, which combines three fundamental concepts: living comfort, cost-effectiveness and design simplicity.
